Agreement to terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of Chatelier, a conversational chatbot platform ("Service") operated by Chatelier ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The service

Chatelier lets businesses configure and embed a chatbot on their own website to answer questions from their customers. We only collect and process the data necessary to operate this chatbot service, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activity under your account. You must be authorized to act on behalf of the business you represent when setting up a chatbot.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation;
• Upload content you do not have the right to use, or that infringes another party's rights;
• Collect personal data from end users beyond what is necessary to answer their questions;
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure;
• Use the Service to send spam, malware, or deceptive content.

Your content

You retain ownership of the content you provide to configure your chatbot (such as FAQs and business information) and of conversation data generated through your chatbot. You grant us a limited license to use that content solely to operate and provide the Service to you.

Data and privacy

Our collection and use of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. We collect only what is necessary to provide the chatbot service and do not sell personal data.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and request deletion of your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for accounts that violate these Terms or pose a risk to the Service or other users.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that chatbot responses will always be accurate, uninterrupted, or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Chatelier shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
